CINEMATIC WEDDING VIDEO | HUNTER VALLEY | NEWCASTLE | DESTINATION
Over time I have had many questions asked to help couples know more about how I film your day. So... here is a little Q&A you can read which will give you an insider scoop on what to expect from me on your day. Also some key answers to the most important parts of your day, and how to get the best Wedding Video ever produced! Not every question will be answered here, so feel free to post any questions you might have!
Do you have standard packages? Yes, I do. To see my standard package options please click here. How long do you stay at our Reception? Generally, for packages which include reception coverage I will depart after the second dance ( usually around 9 - 9:30pm ) What if we want you to stay longer than we booked? I'm happy to stay longer than your original booking, the agreed rate will be $150 per hour for every additional hour or part thereof. If you wish me to stay on longer just let me know on the night. When will I get the full DVD copy? Delivery times can vary. But please expect approximately 5 months for me to carefully edit all the footage into a beautiful film. Each Wedding can take up to 80 hours of intense editing when compiling the footage from 3 cameras and clear audio into the final cut. If you are looking for a "quicky" turn around then I am probably not the right choice for you. I do not outsource editing from overseas third party "companies" and all footage from your day is kept securely backed up at GMTMT Films. Please remember you will want something to keep forever and want to play over and over again. This is my goal for you. Can you film in different styles? Yes! I can film in any style you would like whether it be Vintage or Classic, if you have a preference just let me know when you make an enquiry! What type of camera do you use and why? I only use High Definition Video Cameras because a video camera is designed to shoot moving images in 1080 60p format in long sequences. ( DSLR is primarily a photographic camera and has a limit of around 30 minutes continuous recording and this means you may miss a vital part of your day. ) Shooting with my video cameras means is your film will be the best quality when played back through your Television, Projector or PC. Audio is also crucial in adding to the emotion of your day, my cameras have on-board quad stereo microphones and I also use a specialised wireless system to capture your vows and speeches crystal clear. Why do you insist on placing a microphone on the Groom? It's plain and simple vital to place a microphone on the Groom so I can record your vows crystal clear. This is especially important for outdoor ceremonies and large churches where wind and echoes can distort the spoken word immensely. The microphone is tiny and takes no more than 1 minute to affix, and clips onto the Grooms tie, jacket or shirt. Why do you insist on speakers using the microphone during speeches? Again, it's plain and simple vital your speakers use the microphone for much the same reason as above. Without clear audio your film will lack a certain "punch" What time should I be ready? I recommend the Bride should be dressed and ready 1 hour prior to the Ceremony. Do I have to "stage" or "pose" during post ceremony shoot? No, almost every shot you see in my samples are naturally captured as they happen, but just like your photographer when I see an amazing shot opportunity, or a skyline unfolding, I will definitely have a chat to you about what I want to capture. After all.... that's what you hire me to do right? Remember, most likely, you will not see what I am seeing during the post ceremony shoot! Will we or our guests have a camera in our face all the time? It's the most asked question. The answer is no. Most of my filming is shot using many different lens types to avoid making guests uncomfortable or uneasy. Some shots do require us to get cosy, but mostly you will hardly notice I'm there. It's all about capturing everyone as naturally as possible, without them needing to duck and weave through cameras. Do you need time to set-up? I communicate with your MC on the night, to plan what I need from them, so you can enjoy your night and celebrate being married! What about lighting? Usually the dances are filmed in low light so I have a lighting kit and I use it during the dances. The lighting as kept as soft as possible so not to spoil the mood, overall it will enhance the quality of your film. I prefer the venue to have some form of lighting remaining switched on during dances and speeches. Remember while you are gazing into each others eyes I am seeing what your guests see ( and you will want to watch how slick your moves were on the night! ) GMTMT Films | http://www.gmtmt.com/
